We’re back at Austin Books & Comics on Wednesday, signing Episode Three of the comic-book series! And when I say “we” I mean me and Tim Doyle, the incredible artist of the books.

This past weekend at the Alamo went great. Turnout for Jonah Hex was, unsurprisingly, pretty awful, but the folks who came really seemed to love Nemesis. They rated it a 4.3 (out of five), the highest rating yet of any of our Alamo audiences. So, if you’re one of those folks and you’re reading this now, thanks!

Upcoming events also include an evening with Foleyvision!, on July 1 at 7 PM at the Alamo Ritz. We’re going to be presenting Episode Five of the Live-Action Graphic Novel series and then Foleyvision! performs “Flash Gordon’s Trip to Mars”. Live dubbing of a classic. Not to be missed! All the info and advance tix here.

Also, if you haven’t yet bought tickets to the Long Center premiere, the code is VIP. Click here and do it!

In the latest, epic adventure of transmedia entertainment, Neulander boldly challenges how people consume theater, comics, and stories in a serial format by crafting a clever mix of artistry, technology, community partnerships, and good old-fashioned pizzazz. A series of sneak peaks and alternative formats will all culminate in a theatrical, Sci-Fi experience like none other, Labor Day weekend 2010.

Partnership: The Intergalactic Nemesis is proud to announce a partnership with the Library Foundation, who will distribute copies of the comic books to local libraries and organize reading groups for families over the summer. “We feel this is the perfect pairing,” noted Jason Neulander. “This will extend our outreach into the community in an impactful way. Plus, Ben Wilcott, one of the major characters in The Intergalactic Nemesis, is a librarian!”

Back to School: Further strengthening ties in the community, The Intergalactic Nemesis will be presented in elementary schools. Students will have the chance to perform the voices and sound effects from a selection of the show themselves.

Tim and I have gathered all our gear and we’re ready to sign books. I’ve got like six sharpies and a dozen pens. Definitely wondering if anyone will actually show up. We’ll be at Austin Books & Comics at 5002 N. Lamar (at 51st St.) from 5 to 7 PM. Still trying to figure out something clever to write. A friend of mine helped create a book called Bad Kids Go To Hell and he wrote “You’re the baddest.” on the copy I bought. That was clever. Maybe I’ll write: “You’re the Nemesisest.” Ha! I made myself laugh.

For those of you who don’t know what we look like, that’s me on the left and Tim on the right. Hope to see you today!

And if you can’t make it, you can still order issue one here.
